Happy birthday to me! ;)
I thought this year would be the same as the past few ones: another year, another birthday, another day. I don't mean to sound jaded - in fact, I praise God for how I really don't feel any different or older (well, except for a few more aches and pain in my joints ;)) - but I expected this year to pass without much fanfare.
Once again, God humbles and blesses me so much more than I can expect or deserve! I organized a birthday celebration for myself on Thursday, and had a great time enjoying the company of friends over korean food and karaoke. =)
But tonight, after fellowship... my small group, which I truly love and feel so thankful and blessed by, totally surprised me by having a bonfire get-together for me! I thought I couldn't be surprised any more, but they really got me good... I didn't see this coming at all! =)
I arrived at the beach to find everyone waiting for me by the bonfire... I was so completely overwhelmed that I couldn't speak for a while. After I regained my composure, I shared some words from the heart... and we spent the next few hours fellowshipping and worshipping together!
Everyone: thanks for making my birthday truly one of the most special days I have ever had. I love each and every one of you, and praise God for all your love and support! I will forever cherish you and these memories for the rest of my life. =) You humble me with your love and for truly being my family in Christ!
Abba father, you constantly demonstrate to me that if I will follow after you in obedience and faith, you will bless and provide for all my needs! Lord, I know that it's nothing I do that earns me your grace and blessings, but these things are a testament of your grace and majesty!

hey! sorry we didn't make it to dinner afterall. (did you get my email / message?) in any case, i'm glad to hear it was a blast! i do have your bday present to drop off ... going to an A's game tonight, so will give you a buzz later this week. maybe we can grab dinner ... ttys.
