More photography verbage

World Christian Conference 2006 Update: My WCC 2006 gallery is up; any comments and critiques are welcome!

Thanks for the encouraging words about my photography everyone! I still have so much to learn (especially the big black hole that really separates professionals from enthusiasts like me: lighting!), but look forward to (hopefully) continued improvement.

For many reasons, I feel so blessed for attending WCC... the most superficial of which is probably a restoration of my "photography confidence" (for lack of a better term). =) I think my post-processing skills have improved, which makes me feel more comfortable about getting creative with the post-processing.

World Christian Conference 2006I have some photo shoots coming up in the near future, so I've been reading up on portrait photography as well as checking out some great galleries for ideas. I need to start going around town to scout prospective spots for the shoots. I also need to think of how to frame shots to focus more on the clothing/costume rather than person... so if anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears/eyes! =)

Notes to self:
- For headshot portraits, always always always focus on the eyes.
- If necessary, dodge the eyes during pp to really make them pop.

I commentted in the gallery as well. You're a pro. You don't need to say your an enthusiast that needs to learn lighting. You got it down! Let's hook up and shoot.

Man Steve, I should just copy and paste what I always comment.. You're doing a great job. You have an eye. An ugly one but you know how to use it! Having not going, you definitely caught all aspects of WCC for me, the emotions, the story, the experience.

Must of that 70-200mm IS USM L !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Jen!

I currently use a Canon 10D (with a pretty dirty sensor =/).

Anyone want to contribute to my 1D MKII fund?? ;P
